Study in You: Framed Original

Part technical exercise and part personal reflection, Study in You was painted as the artist’s daughter prepared to leave for another year of college. Its title carries several meanings: a study in oil painting, a study of light and form, and a study of a beloved daughter who has long served as a favorite muse. The portrait captures a moment of affection and admiration as the relationship between parent and child begins evolving into one between two adults.
